Research Councils

History

Focusing on two key research areas, geriatrics and pain medicine, the Research Councils were launched in 2004 to increase awareness of and participation in FAER from various new sources, with the long-term goal of increasing the research funding available to FAER applicants.

Mission

To facilitate involvement in and expansion of the anesthesia community to include practitioners and academicians, governmental and lay organizations and to promote opportunities for funding worthy science, new discoveries and specialized researchers that will enable anesthesiologists to evaluate and improve patient care.
