Call for Nominations

FAER invites nominations for membership in the Academy.  Any active member of the Academy or the Chair of an academic department may submit candidates for membership.  All nominees should be actively involved in research relevant to the anesthesiology community and should be currently involved in mentoring activities.  The main criterion for selection to membership in the Academy is the quantity and quality of the current and prior mentoring experiences.  To increase the participation of minority researchers as mentors, we encourage nominees from underrepresented populations.

Nominations should be submitted to the FAER office via email to schrandt.mary@mayo.edu by August 20, 2010. Please follow the nomination instructions. Nominations should include:

• A cover letter from the nominator emphasizing the mentoring experience of the nominee.
• The nominee’s biographical sketch (please use the standardized FAER Biographical Sketch form).
• The nominee’s trainee list (please use the FAER Mentor Table form ).

A membership selection committee will review nominations and membership will be granted based on a final vote by the entire Academy.
